Goat Format World Championships 2021 Deck Tech: Stein Gate
Mattia Arcangeloni utilized his proven Stein Gate deck, a Cyber Stein variant of Reasoning Gate, to compete in the 2021 Goat Format World Championships.
Sticking with ol' reliable, Mattia Arcangeloni decided to enter the World Championships with the same deck he qualified with: the frighteningly powerful Stein Gate!
Deck List
Arcangeloni's Patreon World Championship Qualifier 5 list, which he won the event with, is the go-to list for the archetype. It's a variant of Reasoning Gate built around Cyber Stein. It usually plays Megamorph to increase damage because of with Stein’s life point cost, potentially setting up an OTK with Master of Oz. Stein Gate usually doesn't play Chaos Sorcerers. Dimension Fusion is also out of the question on account of the life point cost.
Player Insight
A man of few words, Arcangeloni touched on just how much they enjoy OTK strategies and everything that comes with playing them.
Because it is the best deck. I want to win. I play all cards tryng to otk fast.
Though there are a plethra of other options (as proven by our deck pages!) Arcangeloni prefers to stick with what they enjoy, mentioning just how unlikely they are to stray from the norm for them.
I've been playing this deck for a year. It's just is too fun.
