Obelisk 73 Decklists Coverage
Kekskatze won Obelisk 73 with a Warrior deck, securing his second qualification for the Goat Format World Championship, while Chaos Turbo and other Warrior decks also saw success.

The coverage of Obelisk 73 is here! Kekskatze managed to win the tournament, his second qualification for this year’s Goat Format World Championship!The deck that helped him triumph was a Warrior deck, which, alongside its staple cards like Don Zaloog, had Skilled Dark Magician, which can attack the opponent’s monsters comfortably, and its DEF points can also be an asset. We can also see some unconventional choices in his sideboard. Some of them include one copy of Chaos Sorcerer, which, along with Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, enhances the deck’s winning strategies; one copy of Tsukuyomi that can either help to reactivate flip monsters’ effects or serve the opponent’s monster on a silver platter to Mystic Swordsman LV2; and one copy of Dekoichi. The sideboard transition into flips is strong because they line up well against what your opponent will likely do in removing Nobleman of Crossout to put in battle traps. Ultimately, this carefully crafted balance between standard warrior pressure and unexpected tech choices was exactly what led him to win the tournament!
The runner-up was Hernyhog with his Chaos Turbo deck. He decided to boost the deck’s defensive and aggressive capabilities by running three copies of Raigeki Break. He also ran three copies of Trap Dustshoot. This choice allowed him to develop better strategies during matches by increasing his hand knowledge. In addition, on the sideboard, he included two copies of both Cipher Soldier and Zombyra the Dark specifically to tear through the warrior deck’s best monsters!Our third place finisher was Pooh-Bah, who ran a warrior deck. He ran three Trap Dustshoots to both slow down the opponent and to ensure that his strategies are able to bring him the victory

Rounding out the rest of the tournament’s decklists, we have:
- Bobby Bodega with his aggressive warrior deck;
- Leandro1993 with his Goat Control deck that blends the standard Goat Control recipe with some interesting side deck choices;
- Napolol93 with an unconventional Chaos Control deck, featuring interesting sideboard choices, like Jinzo, Shining Angel, and Roulette Barrel;
- OraCle with his Chaos Turbo deck, with the addition of one copy of Solemn Judgment and Spirit Reaper in the main deck and side deck, respectively; and
- Pattn13 with his Zombie deck. It is always fantastic to see a non-meta deck in an Obelisk tournament!
In conclusion, Obelisk 73 perfectly demonstrated why Warrior is one of the top-performing decks this season.
