Terms of Service

Last updated October 13, 2026.

goatformat.com and Goat Format tournaments are run by Goat Format, a volunteer community project. By using the site or entering an event, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or enter our events.

Using the site

The site is free. Browse it, link to it and share what you find. Do not attack it, overload it, scrape it in a way that slows it down, or try to access parts of it you are not allowed to.

We can change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time.

Entering events

You enter events through our Discord bot. To take part, you must meet Discord's minimum age in your country and follow Discord's terms.

Each event posts its own rules. Organizers and judges make the final call on rulings, results, penalties and disqualifications.

We can change schedules, formats and prizes, and we can cancel an event when we need to. Invites and prizes go to the players who earn them under the rules of that event.

Conduct

Play fair and treat people with respect. No cheating, collusion, stalling, playing on someone else's account or registering more than once. No harassment, hate speech, threats or sharing other people's private information.

Your content

When you submit a decklist, report a result or share a replay, you confirm it is accurate and that you have the right to share it. You let us publish, display and archive it on the site and in our community channels as part of the tournament record. That permission continues after the event ends.

We can edit or remove anything that is wrong or that breaks these terms.

Our content

Articles, guides and the site's design belong to Goat Format and the people who wrote them. Quote and link with credit. Ask before republishing a whole piece.

Konami and Yu-Gi-Oh!

Goat Format is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Konami. Yu-Gi-Oh! and all related card names, artwork and logos are the property of Konami and their respective owners. We use them to describe and document the game.

Suspension and termination

We can warn, disqualify, suspend or ban anyone who breaks these terms or an event's rules, from one event or from all of them, with or without notice.

Disclaimer

The site and our events are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. Card data, rulings, results and decklists can contain mistakes.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, Goat Format and its volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, prizes or opportunities, that comes from using the site or entering our events.

Indemnity

You agree to cover Goat Format and its volunteers against claims and costs that come from your content or from your breaking these terms.

Your privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using the site or entering an event after a change means you accept the new terms.

General

These terms are the whole agreement between you and Goat Format about the site and our events. If part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
