Chaos Aggro

Overview

Chaos Aggro is a blend of traditional aggro strategies and chaos decks. Instead of using card advantage engines like Thunder Dragon and Night Assailant, Chaos Aggro uses the most aggressive Light and Dark monsters it can find, supporting them with traditional aggro backrow like Sakuretsu Armor and Trap Dustshoot. Chaos Sorcerer and Black Luster Soldier are the primary payoff cards which quickly fill the board with threats for large attacks. 

The most common beaters for the genre are the Skilled Light and Dark magicians, who each have high stats perfect for maintaining board pressure. Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive, Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer, Pitch-Black Warwolf, Mirage Dragon, and even Regenerating Mummy are also seen. 

Because of the lack of a card advantage gameplan, Chaos Aggro tend to become weaker the longer the game goes on, much like other aggro decks. However, the presence of chaos monsters in the lineup does mitigate this weakness to some degree.

Both skilled magicians are played in full here, with Dekoichi and Blade Knight rounding out the Light and Dark counts respectively. Asura Priest deals with Scapegoat, while the heavy trap lineup keeps non-tokens from staying in play for too long.

Variants

Drain Chaos

Drain Chaos is a variant of Chaos Aggro that makes use Skill Drain in order to further disrupt opposing strategies. Large Light and Dark monsters, often with drawback effects negated by Drain, are played to maximize damage potential and board control. The Skilled magicians again are popular here, but they are often joined by recruiters, like Shining Angel or Mystic Tomato, since their effects still work with Drain in play. Zombyra the Dark, Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast, and Giant Orc are also played. 

Due to the inconsistent balance in power between Light and Dark monsters which are effective under Skill Drain, the deck tends to have difficulty with its Light count. Sub-par monsters like Armor Exe, Homunculus the Alchemic Being, and Thunder Nyan Nyan sometimes find their way into lists as a result.

Additional Card Options

Traditional aggro all-stars like Abyss Soldier and Kycoo are always an option, though they can affect the balance of Light and Dark monsters in the deck. Popular aggro backrow are also possible. My Body as a Shield, as an example stops battle traps from destroying attackers, and saves Dekoichi or Spy from Nobleman hits.
