Goat Format Championship 16 Deck Tech:Â Chaos Emissary Aggro
This article provides a deck tech for Malte Löwecke's Chaos Emissary Aggro deck at the Goat Format Championship 16, highlighting its strategy and player insights.

Malte Löwecke (AKA âAlephYa2) entered today's enormous event with more than just victory on his mind. He had an agenda: to prove that Emissary of the Afterlife is an underrated all-star comparable to format staples like Sangan and others. So far, with a 2-0 record early on into the event, he might just accomplish his goal.Â
Deck List

Overview

Emissary Aggro decks use the fiend as an aggressive floater, threatening the opponent's board and life total with little fear of losing out on card advantage. Meanwhile, said opponent is forced to make difficult decisions on how to (or not to) play around Emissary's search effect, as In most cases, spending a card to destroy Emissary will result in a net loss of card advantage over the Emissary player. Usually, Sonic Duck is the search target of choice. However, in Chaos variants, Dragon Zombie helps to fill the Dark monster quota while still sporting a respectable 1600ATK.Â
Player Insight
It's clear that AlephYa2 put a lot of thought into today's unconventional list. There's even elements of other popular Emissary strategies, like Monarchs, and Recruiters. As seen below, they heavily considered synergy with other cards, opposing meta choices, and more.Â
I wanted to make the whole deck work in harmony basically haha Lots of Light & Dark monsters that work well together and replace themselves on the field or in the hand.âIt's a sort of meta call to Chaos Turbo decks. I play Decrees, lots of aggressive monsters and 3 Zaborgs + 2 Creature Swaps to deny the opp their Flip effs. Abyss further pressures flips.
âThough some victories are harder fought than others, so far Alephya2's hard work is paying off. With cautious optimism, they are approaching the next phase of the tournament with a winning record!Â
My last match was a really grindy 2-1 where I almost messed up the final game because I forgot a simple Abyss Soldier interaction.âWell, I hope the results will speak for it later on (fingers crossed).
